The Babu Adventures offers the best of Pokhara paragliding. Join us for thrilling flights in and around the Pokhara Valley with experienced, world-class male/female pilots. This area has been our backyard playground for years and we provide the highlight of a lifetime on your tandem glide. As we soar like a bird, enjoy breathtaking views of snowy peaks soaring into the skies and the fertile valleys below it all. A normal launch takes off from the lush ridge northwest of Pokhara, whereas if you are looking for something that lasts a bit longer, we are pleased to offer our cross-country journeys that extend air time and cover exhilarating, unforgettable landscapes.

The Babu Adventures provides all the details and logistics so that you can simply relax, soak it all in and savor the enjoyable experience. We run vehicle service to the launch point, basic paragliding information prior to launch and a guided description of the unimaginable aerial sights that you will be seeing. This epic Himalayan adventure is a must for every visitor to Pokhara!

Special Cross Country Flight (1 night 2 days/more than 3-5 hour flight time) -- Tandem or Solo / Sirkot

Join us for a night at our rural resort in the lush, peaceful hills (3 hours from Pokhara) and a thrilling flight in this local area. We will make a breathtaking flight from The Babu Adventures Resort as we attempt a cross-country route. You will have exhilarating views along the way of the mesmerizing village scenery and the snowy Himalayas, soaring into the sky on the horizon.  The journey crosses three ridges as if we were birds and is possible as a solo pilot or tandem passenger. This epic Himalayan adventure will be unforgettable!

Itinerary

We depart early in the morning to allow us a good chance to fly this day. The scenic drive of around two hours passes lush jungles and fertile farmland with paddy fields. Towards the end we leave the main highway and the jeep climbs dirt track roads to our secluded resort on an open ridgeline. The staggering views will take your breath away! After settling in to your room and refreshing with a morning drink, we will check if weather conditions are right---then we enjoy a thrilling local flight. The rest of the day offers much to explore or just relax at the resort and rejuvenate mind, body and spirit. Meals and snacks are prepared by our skilled cooks and the evening offers all the sounds of nature, birdsong and crickets with heavenly stars sparkling overhead. We hope you relax and soak it all in without a care in the world.

The morning views are usually best and on sparkling-clear days the panorama is mind-blowing. Enjoy the scenery with your morning breakfast. We then embark on an epic flight from Babu Adventure Resort and Adventure School to Pokhara. The cross-country route crosses three ridges. We soar over the wondrous scenery as if we are birds. The rural scenery of terraced fields and vibrant jungle backed by snowy peaks is awe-inspiring. We pass over the final ridge to reveal our spectacular lakeside destination and touch down near the shore line. Our crew will meet us there as we celebrate our achievement. After reveling in the dream, you will be escorted by vehicle back to your hotel.

Useful Information

Please Note: Prices for Tandem Flights (normal and cross-country) have been fixed by the Nepal Airsports Association. Regardless of agents and pilots, the cost will be the same. You simply choose your preferred agency and pilot and leave the rest to them as you enjoy a bird’s eye view, soaring in the freedom of the skies!

Additionally, if you are flying in cold weather, we advise all participants to bring along a windbreaker jacket. In the summer season, you can generally come as you are, although everyone needs shoes (sandals not allowed). We also suggest that you leave expensive items behind at your accommodation during your flight, especially expensive items that are breakable (e.g., large camera, smart phone, loose jewelry). Babu Adventure cannot take responsibility for the care of your personal items.
