A reminder of The Babu Adventures Group Terms and Conditions (the fine print)
Cancellation of your course or trip for any reason will be refunded on a scaled basis of the deposited amount. That is, the refunded amount is determined by the date of cancellation relative to the scheduled trip departure date (and course beginning date). Please find more specific details below.
Within forty-five days or greater of your arrival to Nepal, we request a confirmation deposit of thirthy-percent of the total amount of the course fee and a confirmation deposit of twentyfive-percent of the total amount of the tour fee (except helicopter, this is a deposit of fifty-percent). The remaining percent is requested to be paid on arrival in Pokhara, not later than 1 day before the departure of the tour or beginning of the course.
Our Cancellation Policy
We understand that unplanned and unexpected events occur from time to time as part of life. We recognize that unforeseen circumstances might delay or cause a cancellation of your program. Delays can be re-scheduled according to availability and your new timetable. For cancellation of the entire program, a reimbursement of the advance paid will be reimbursed according to the following schedule based on time and percentage of deposit refunded:
Within 30 to 45 days of arrival, 80% refund
Within 14 to 29 days of arrival, 70% refund
Within 7 to 14 days of arrival, 50% refund
Less than 7 days before scheduled arrival to Nepal, a refund, unfortunately, cannot be granted
Personal Insurance Coverage
Travelers with The Babu Adventures Group need to arrange their own personal insurance. We encourage you to book your insurance in your home country before arrival to Nepal. If needed, we can assist with arranging coverage after arrival to Nepal, too. Coverage that include both (worldwide) medical, search and rescue and 3rd person liabilty is required.
Your belongings while in Nepal
The Babu Adventures Group makes every precaution for the safety and care of your personal belongings and we have not had any problems with belongings placed under our care. That said, we cannot assume responsibility for loss and damage of your personal belongings and baggage during the travels with us and while en route to our destinations while in the possession of porters, pack animals and vehicles. (We request that you bring small locks for your luggage, for added safety. We have found that numbered locks work best.)
Flight Delays and Cancellations
There is the chance of flight delays and sometimes cancellations due to the unstable weather and other factors beyond our control.
We recommend that all travelers schedule extra days in their plans as a cushion in between end of tour/course dates and date of international flight back home. If a delay or cancellation occurs, then meal and accommodation costs will be the obligation of the traveler.
Assumption of Risk
The traveler assumes the risks and hazards associated with your journey and activity in regards to delays, cancellations, personal injury, illness, and even death.
Disclosure of Health Status
Travelers with a pre-existing medical condition must let The Babu Adventures Group know the factual nature of the situation at the time of confirming of booking. A medical statement provided from a physician declaring that you are fit to travel under this condition and undertake the activities for which you signed up must be provided to The Babu Adventures Group.
Situations Beyond Our Control
The Babu Adventures can take no responsibility for changes due to events and circumstances beyond our personal control. The Babu Adventures Group is acting as an agent with the understanding that we are not liable for any accident, delay, damage, loss, international flight cancellation and inconveniences caused in relation to the travel arrangements made by us and our staff.
Situations and factors beyond our personal control include, but are not limited to the following: weather conditions, availability of accommodation and camping sites, unfavorable governmental and political situations, unstable trail and environmental conditions and other events beyond our control. The Babu Adventures Group cannot be held responsible for the consequences of delays and modifications beyond our control. If a change is necessary, we will always do what is best for the group after checking with members of the party and bearing in mind the interests of the whole group. Please note that we will do everything within our means to mitigate the effects on your journey should a change be necessary.
Special Client Requests
Please make us aware in writing at the time of booking your trip of any special considerations including diet requests and other considerations. The Babu Adventures always makes every attempt to accommodate requests and satisfy our travelers.
This contract shall be in effect at the time of booking and is subject to Nepal law under the jurisdiction of Nepal’s government.
The Babu Adventures Group always does his best for your enjoyment and satisfaction. We and our providers of services will consider all grievances in writing within fifteen days of the completion of your activity with us and our providers.
