Overview

This journey offers a rare chance to explore the Manaslu region on foot and through the air. Starting from the peaceful village of Purano Duwar (1,705m AMSL), the route leads through quiet forest trails and ridgelines to the sacred viewpoint of Bara Pokhari (3,000m AMSL), and then higher up to The Babu Adventures Camp at 3,685 meters AMSL. The trail is remote, unspoiled, and perfect for anyone who wants to experience the mountains in their most natural state. The area is also an ideal playground for paragliding. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced XC pilot, the conditions here offer great thermals, beautiful terrain, and even the possibility to soar up to 6,000 meters on good weather days. The views of Manaslu, Buddha Himal, Himachuli, Annapurna, and Fishtail make every moment unforgettable. After spending a night at the high-altitude camp, we take off from the 3,685-meter launch site and enjoy a flight lasting 1 to 3 hours, depending on the weather, before landing at Ram Chook Faat (600m AMSL). To round out the adventure, the journey finishes with a fun 2-hour rafting trip on the Marysangadi River a refreshing way to end a few days of hiking and flying. This experience combines trekking, mountain culture, high-altitude flying, and river adventure into one memorable Manaslu adventure.
