Overview

Forget what you've heard. It is the heart in the throat time when your feet have gone off the Sarangkot ridge, and the wind takes your wing in its grip and the world just falls away. You are no longer piloting one of the most scenic, as well as the most personal, airspaces of the planet. The flying field is an infamously small, colorful and buzzing amphitheater, where the pilots exchange the sky, dancing on thermal and in the midst of eagles with the Himalayas acting as a spectacular backdrop. This is what makes flying here so special as it is this special combination of the world-class scenery and a vibrant communal airspace. This is the place where you get to know the real meaning of flying.
