Overview
Sirkot is an excellent flying site for pilots of all levels, offering soaring, thermalling, and XC opportunities with flights lasting 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on weather. The takeoff sits at 1,630m AMSL with climbs up to 3,500m and a landing zone at 732m, and top-landing is possible for advanced pilots. Early mornings often reveal spectacular sunrise views over floating clouds and the peaks of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and others, especially from October to February. The Babu Adventures Camp (Syangja) provides a peaceful setting for enjoying sunrise, sunset, and relaxed evenings. Each day begins with tea or coffee and a pilot briefing before breakfast, followed by flights planned around weather conditions, including thermalling and XC practice. After flying, everyone gathers for a warm dinner and a restful night in the calm mountain atmosphere.
