Sano Babu Sunuwar has led many adventures across Nepal and beyond. He has 32 river first descents on Himalayan fed rivers to his name. Babu was the first person to successfully fly across Nepal by tandem paragliding (832km aerial distance). He is most well-known for flying from Mt. Everest (ultimately descending and then kayaking to the sea) earning National Geographic Adventure of the Year 2012. Babu was the only successful pilot to fly from the top of Africa, Kilimanjaro in 2013 at one of the biggest paragliding expeditions in the world (Wings of Kilimanjaro). He was the first paragliding pilot from the Himalaya to participate in the Red Bull X-Alps 2013, the world’s largest extreme adventure race among many other exciting activities and adventures in Nepal and beyond.
SusmitaSunuwar, originally from the lush hills of Okhaldhunga District in Eastern Nepal. Babu and Susmita have known each other for over fourteen years. They are raising two fine boys -- a family of adventurous spirits. Susmita has traveled the world and is an ace pilot as well as former Nepal Female Kayak Champion. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and talents to bring adventures to travelers and provide coursesat Babu Adventure HQ in the Himalaya.
Krishna Sunuwar is an original member of Babu Adventure and hails from a remote corner of Ramechhap District. He began his career in tourism by joining his elder brother Babu on exhilarating journeys. He has honed his skills in all aspects of adventure travel with people from around the globe. His experiences have given him a wide range of skills. He always has a ready smile because he loves what he does and enjoys sharing his knowledge and abilities to arrange exciting experiences for all-comers in the Himalaya.
Dil Kumar Sunwaris also from the enchanting hills of rural Ramechhap District. He started in tourism as a porter and rose through the ranks to become a guide and iscontinually developing his skills and knowledge in every part of the travel industry. Dil Kumar’s extensive field experience is rounded out by wide academic knowledge of the Himalaya. He is always a pleasure to be around and especially enjoys sharing adventures inhis motherland with visitors.
