We take pride at Babu Adventures in celebrating what Babu Sunuwar and Lakpa Tsheri Sherpa have accomplished. They didn’t only become famous; they started by conquering mountains and gaining experience in flying planes.
Babu and Lakpa achieved something few others can say they climbed to the peak of Mount Everest. Those initial efforts didn’t prevent them from reaching further goals. They went further by paragliding from the summit of Mount Everest something no one thought would be achieved.
This historic journey wasn't just about reaching the top; it was about reimagining the descent. After the arduous climb to 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet), and from a strategic high point on the mountain, they transitioned from mountaineers to aviators, soaring above the majestic Himalayas. This offered a breathtaking perspective and marked a new frontier in high-altitude flight, breaking records for the highest paraglide ever attempted from Everest.
